Hotel Boss review

Zhuang Jia Wen

As a budget-conscious traveler, Hotel Boss caught my eye for its central location and affordable rates. The hotel is situated right near Bugis MRT station, making it easy to access Singapore’s major sights. But being a lower-priced hotel, I wondered if it would meet expectations.

Table of Contents

  • Convenient Location: The proximity to Bugis MRT station is exceptional. I could easily get around to sights like Chinatown, Gardens by the Bay, and Sentosa Island.
  • Comfortable Rooms: My compact but cozy room had modern furnishings, free WiFi, AC, and a clean ensuite bathroom. For the price, it exceeded standards.
  • Helpful Staff: Front desk employees were polite and assisted with calling taxis, providing maps, making recommendations, and answering questions.
  • Budget-Friendly: Room rates are very reasonable. Great value given the central location in Singapore.

  • Small Rooms: Space is tight, so rooms won’t suit more than 1-2 people. As a solo traveler, I didn’t mind, but larger groups should book multiple rooms.
  • Minimal Amenities: Don’t expect luxury facilities. But the basics like comfortable beds, TVs, showers were satisfactory.
  • Noise: Located on a busy road, so street noise could sometimes be heard from my room. Light sleepers may need earplugs.

For travelers on a tight budget who want prime access to Singapore’s top attractions, Hotel Boss hits the target. While the no-frills rooms are diminutive and basic, they offer solid value.

The hotel’s location adjacent to Bugis MRT makes getting around a breeze. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Hotel Boss to other budget-minded travelers.
